How Does Our Custom Order Process Work?
Creating a custom hoodie with DPBMH is a collaborative process. Here’s a step-by-step guide to how we can bring your idea to fruition:
Share Your Vision With Us:
The first step is to reach out to us! Send an email to hello@dearpersonbehindmehoodie.com with the subject line “Custom Hoodie Request.” Please include as much detail as possible about your idea:
- Your Desired Message: What words do you want on the hoodie?
- Color Preferences: Do you have specific hoodie colors or text colors in mind?
- Any Other Details: Font style ideas (if any), placement thoughts, or general inspiration. The more information you provide, the better we can understand your concept.
Review & Design Consultation:
Our team will review your request. We’ll consider the feasibility of the design, ensure it aligns with our brand’s positive and uplifting ethos, and discuss any potential creative or technical aspects. We might get back to you with questions or suggestions to refine the idea and make it perfect.
Digital Mock-up (if needed):
For most custom text-based requests, we can proceed fairly quickly. If your idea involves more specific design elements, we may create a simple digital mock-up to give you an idea of how the final design might look.
Setting Up Your Custom Product with Our Partner:
Once we’ve finalized the design details with you, we will then create a unique product listing for your custom hoodie. This listing will be set up on the platform of our trusted third-party print-on-demand partner, TeeChip.
Your Private Link to Purchase:
We will send you a direct, private link to your custom hoodie page on TeeChip’s website.
Purchase & Fulfillment by TeeChip:
You can then use this link to view your custom hoodie, see the final price, and make your purchase directly from TeeChip. Just like with our standard collection, TeeChip will handle the secure payment processing, high-quality printing, manufacturing, and shipping of your custom hoodie directly to you. They will also be your point of contact for any customer service related to the production, shipping, or quality of the custom order.
What Can Be Customized?
- Custom Messages: Share your own “Dear Person Behind Me…” style message or any other positive, uplifting text.
- Color Variations: If you’d like one of our existing messages on a hoodie color or text color not currently shown in our main collection, let us know. We can check its availability through TeeChip.
Important Considerations for Custom Orders:
- Our Design Role: DPBMH’s role is to work with you on the design concept and facilitate its setup with our fulfillment partner.
- Fulfillment & Sale: The actual sale, printing, shipping, and customer service for your custom order are managed entirely by TeeChip.
- Pricing: The final price for your custom hoodie will be displayed on the TeeChip product page once it’s set up. This price is determined by TeeChip and may vary from our standard collection items due to the custom nature of the request.
- Lead Times: Please allow some extra time for custom orders. There’s the initial design consultation phase with us, followed by TeeChip’s standard production and shipping times.
- Return & Refund Policy: Custom-made items are often subject to different return and refund policies. It is crucial that you review TeeChip’s return and refund policy for custom items BEFORE placing your order on their site, as they are typically non-returnable unless there’s a manufacturing defect.
- Content Guidelines: We are passionate about spreading positivity. Therefore, we reserve the right to decline custom order requests that contain offensive, hateful, or inappropriate content that does not align with the values of Dear Person Behind Me Hoodie.
